FAQ

A general FAQ for all commissions can be found HERE. For choral specific questions:

What texts are you willing to set to music?

  • Any old text, so long as it is either in the public domain, a text you have written yourself, or a text that you have acquired the permission to use for a musical commission.

I don't have a text for you to set; can you find yourself, or create one from scratch?

  • If you would like me to find a text to set to music, I do charge a £10 fee as it can be time consuming to search for texts, and often go further to get the required permissions if needed (so I do encourage you to have your own text ready with any permissions secured!)

  • Alternatively, I can also create an original text to suit your required purpose and to also set to music. The rate for this is £25 per stanza of original text.

I don't see an option for vocal soloists, do you write for soloists?

  • I certainly do! The commissioning rates for a vocal soloist vary depending on how many other performers you would like the commission to be for (e.g. a single vocal soloist commission will cost less than a vocal soloist accompanied by SATB Choir and Orchestra)

I have a question that wasn't answered, how can I contact you?

  • Feel free to contact me over HERE for any further questions!

Ask about a Commission

To get a quote for how much your commission will cost, fill out the form below or contact me.

I will respond to your request with a quote via email within 24 hours. If the quote is reasonable to you, I will then send you a copy of the "Commissioning Agreement" for us both to sign. After the first 50% of the commission fee is delivered, the composing shall begin!
